Description


This concealed half hour fire door closer measures 140mm, is easy to fit and is available in electro brass or nickel plated.

  • Rectangular brass plates with steel mechanism

  • Tested in accordance with BS476-22:1987 and is suitable for 1/2 hour fire doors (FD30)

  • Suitable for uncontrolled door closing, recommended use of a full CE marked door control

  • Easy to fit and install

  • Choice of two finishes (Brass and Nickel Plated)


Important: These door closers cannot be used on doors hung on any type of projection hinge, rising or falling butt hinges or Tetus hinges

Technical Information


1. Cylinder:
Mark the inner door edge for drilling of a 26mm diameter hole. It is important that the hole should not be less than 147mm deep.

2. Cylinder Plate:
Mark out and recess cylinder plate flush with door edge. Insert cylinder ensuring that it is free and fix the plate with screws provided. Adjust spring tension if necessary. Close door gently so that anchor plate marks out door jamb.

3. Anchor plate:
Turn anchor plate 90 degrees to cylinder plate. Withdraw to approximately 38mm and insert template.

4. Template:
Insert template between chain links. Release anchor plate so that it is freely suspended. Recess anchor plate to the cylinder plate and fix with the screws provided.

Fitting Instructions


We recommend a 26mm x 140mm size bore from plate to back of tube.

Turn anchor plate anti-clockwise to decrease tension.
