This door is unlikely to crack, fade or peel, meaning that it won't require your effort in sanding, painting, or treating. All it needs is a quick wipe to maintain the sleek surfaces. The structures of Crystal Direct uPVC residential doors consist of CFCs free cores and skins that have been made to BS476: part 12 'Method of Test for Ignitability of Products by Direct Flame Impingement'. The two uPVC skins are pressure bonded to the E.H.D.F.R.A polystyrene (extra high-density fire-retardant additive) core through the use of a heat and moisture resistant adhesive.
With a thermally efficient and low U Value of 1.3 W/m²K to decrease energy costs, heat retention and security are paramount. The multipoint locking system enlists several bolts to seal the door shut and the trickle ventilation feature ensures natural airflow without the door needing to be left open. Security and safety are further enhanced by Crystal Direct residential doors due to the toughened glass (Kitemark BS6206) and panels that comply with Class 1 surface spread of flame classification (BS476 part 7).
