While the door only requires minimal maintenance and simple cleaning of sleek surfaces, it also values security and thermal efficiency.
With toughened glass (Kitemark BS6206) and Class 1 surface spread of flame classification (BS476 part 7) panels, Crystal Direct residential doors are fantastic for retaining heat while maintaining ventilation. They have a U Value of 1.3 W/m²K and include trickle ventilation. This means that, even when doors are bolted shut and tightly sealed with the multipoint locking system, rooms are still naturally ventilated.
Residential doors also benefit from moisture and heat resistant adhesives that pressure bond two uPVC skins to an E.H.D.F.R.A polystyrene (extra high-density fire-retardant additive) core. With a CFCs free core and skins that are approved to BS476: part 12 'Method of Test for Ignitability of Products by Direct Flame Impingement', your residential door is well made and resilient against fading, peeling, and cracking. There is no need for you to sand, paint or treat the door. A simple wipe-down does the trick.
