Crystal Direct residential doors benefit from skins that follow BS476: part 12 'Method of Test for Ignitability of Products by Direct Flame Impingement' and cores that are free of CFCs. The two uPVC skins are pressure bonded to the E.H.D.F.R.A polystyrene (extra high-density fire-retardant additive) core, which is achieved using an innovative adhesive that is formulated to be both moisture and heat resistant.
Not only advantageous in visual appeal, but this door also ensures security. The multipoint locking system consists of numerous bolts that are situated at different points in the door, in turn forming confident seals. As for increased thermal efficiency, the panels have Class 1 surface spread of flame classification (BS476 part 7) and toughened glass (Kitemark BS6206) with a 1.3 W/m²K U Value. Heat is better retained, and doors can remain closed due to the trickle ventilation enabling natural ventilation.
