This 4 light stable door from LPD is a solid external engineered door with thick oak veneered facings in a country cottage style. Perfect for beng used as a front or back exterior door.

The classic cottage door style suits both modern and traditional exteriors. Although inspired by historical cottage settings, it has become a contemporary must-have for many homes. It's simple classic style makes it a timeless decorative feature to any home.

Technical Information

  • Not recommended for exposed locations. Wooden exterior doors must be protected by a canopy or awning.  LPD internal and external doors are manufactured using engineered component parts, all with a view to providing a product that offers a solid feel, but with the advantages that engineering brings in terms of greater strength and stability. Engineered doors are faced with veneers and matching lippings. Due to the slightly unstable nature of the timber used to produce Knotty Pine doors - the manufacturer of this style of door cannot offer any guarantees against shrinkage or warping.
  • LPD external doors are manufactured using engineered component parts, all with a view to providing a product that offers a solid feel, but with the advantages that engineering brings in terms of greater strength and stability.

Question:

We have a client who wants to use this as fire door once painted with intumescent paint - would this be suitable do you know please ? Building control are just concerned regarding the veneer and it not being a solid door ?

As this door is not certified as a fire door we would be able to recommend this unfortunately. 

Question:

Is it possible to trim/plan this door down to fit? Our opening is 2010mm x 760mm. Thank you.

Answer:

Unfortunately, the stable doors cqn not be trimmed to this size. Please find attached the trimming tolerances for these doors:

Trim Tolerance - Top: 6mm

Trim Tolerance - Bottom: 6mm

Trim Tolerance - Sides: 6mm

I need a door measuring Height -1835x width -910 thickness - 44mm Is this size available please?

Answer:

Unfortunately, this size is not available as LPD do not currently offer these Doors in bespoke sizes.

Double glazed (not clear from the specification)?

Answer:

The glazing on this door is clear glass. 

Question:

Can this door open outwards? do you do the complete door frames and threshold with this door too?

Answer:

These Doors can be suited to open either inwards or outwards, depending on your preference.

The matching frame is the DFC LPD frame (multiple size options available, depending on what you require).

Yes, the 33" Door is in stock at present.

Can this door be painted? Do you do it in white?

Answer:

This door is suitable for either treating with an oil stain or paint, so yes can be painted. We can only offer this door as an 'unfinished' door.
