Question:
What do you mean by " re lipping ". I would need to cut 40mm off the bottom.
Answer:
The lipping protects the door core and is what allows for adjustments, by trimming a timber based fire door without having the required trimming you create risk to adversely affecting its fire performance. If in doubt seek advice from a fire door specialist.
Question:
how do you detach the supplied lipping?
Answer:
To detach the supplied lipping you simply slide it off and this is easy to then slide back on.
Question:
Can you supply spare lippings if I need to remove the existing?
Answer:
The lippings are not something we sell separately, however, the lipping that is included with these doors is re-attachable.
Question:
Can glazing apertures be cut into the door providing hockey stick glazing beads are used? Are the lippings concealed as I need to cut 32mm off the width and 40mm off the height. Are the lippings re-usable?
Answer:
10mm solid hardwood lippings included for slight adjustments - please note the door may need to be re-lipped if trimmed more than 10mm
As it is a fire door you will not be able to cut from the top, you would only be able to cut from the bottom.
Question:
Can I paint this door?
Answer:
