My standard door size is 28" x 76.5". I have to reduce the height by 1.5" no option. this is outside your maximum trimming allowance. What is the construction of the door and what reconstruction to the base will be required

This door is a solid core door however this is made up of solid lippings which only allow for the 6mm trim and then its a mdf particle board. If you trim any more than the 6mm stated this would void the warranty of the door.

This door has an engineered (MDF) core. You can trim 6mm per edge (12mm total from the width and / or height).
You can fit pull handles onto these doors if required. You will receive manufacturers' fitting instructions when the door is delivered.

Can i check the door thickness? The door thickness is list as 35mm, but in the dimensions it's listed as 40mm.
Answer:
The thickness of this door when it has a height of 2040mm is 40mm. This door with the height of 1981mm will have a thickness of 35mm. The reason for this is because the taller door is required to be thicker for stability.
