This door has been given a FD30 rating - meaning it has 30 minutes protection from fire damage. These doors are also thicker (44mm) as opposed to standard rating doors.
Material composition: LPD internal and external doors are manufactured using engineered component parts, all with a view to providing a product that offers a solid feel, but with the advantages that engineering brings in terms of greater strength and stability.
Installation: Internal doors should not be installed in areas with recent plastered, screeded or wet sites. All our doors including those pre-finished, should not be exposed to inappropriate damp site conditions.
Trimming: Door can be trimmed by up to 6 mm on any edge. When trimming doors, reduce them equally and not excessively from top and bottom for height, to the hanging edge only for the width (if minimal) but equally with the meeting edge if a greater amount is necessary. This information does not apply to doors with a FD30 fire rating.
Finishes: Oak timber doors can be decorated with paint, stain, varnish or lacquer. White primed timber doors can be decorated with any good quality paint suited to your property. LPD internal joinery is NOT suitable for waxes, polishes, dyes and oils etc
Storage: When receiving door, it should be laid flat fully supported off the floor in a dry and fully ventilated area with protective packaging intact. Doors supplied unfinished should be thoroughly sealed on all faces and edges prior to any installation work.
