These unglazed external hardwood doors from Mendes are a perfect starting point for those wishing to get their home's all-important entrance just so. This 44mm thick, strong and engineered door unit has solid hardwood lippings and a thick, long-lasting hardwood veneer with loose beading on one side for increased durability and service life. Supplied both unglazed and unfinished, this door is ready to be customised, serving as the base for your own desired finish and glazing. This unit is fully FSC-certified and comes with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Features & Benefits: Mendes External Hardwood Pattern SC Unglazed Front Door

  • Solid engineered construction
  • Supplied unfinished and un-glazed to serve as a base for a custom finish and glazing
  • Comes with solid hardwood lippings and a long-lasting veneer
  • FSC-certified and guaranteed by the manufacturer for 10 years

Please note:

  • All hardwood external doors should be protected from direct sun and rain.
  • If a door needs to be trimmed it must be reduced equally from both sides.
  • Each side of a door may be trimmed up to a maximum of 6mm for doors with a lipping 10mm or more, and 3mm for doors with a 6mm lipping.
  • Please note any trimming over the 6mm overall for the fire doors will invalidate the FD30 rating.
  • We recommend the use of 3 hinges to offer more rigidity and strength.
  • Untreated products must be fully sealed prior to hanging - this applies to all surfaces including tops, bottoms and all recesses cut for hinges, locks, handles and letter plates etc.
  • Waxes and oils are not considered suitable for sealing a door and if used will invalidate any guarantee should the door subsequently fail.

Hi I have a customer who requires 2 x doors. Please could you give me a quote for double glazing them please, and what would be a approximate lead time for them to be delivered. Kind regards Martin

Answer:

Mendes are able to offer these doors with glazing as a bespoke order.

Question:

Will this take double glazed units and will it be suitable for direct seafront position?

Answer:

This door will take up to a 14mm double glazed unit, but unfortunately Mendes do not recommend timber doors for a coastal location.
