With a 44mm thick outstanding engineered construction, this Waterford Hardwood Flush Front Door from Mendes is effortlessly strong, attractive and pleasing to the eyes. Alongside the simple design, this external door has solid hardwood lippings and thick hardwood veneer.

The door is both unglazed and unfinished. This makes it suitable for your own finishes. It also comes equipped with an FSC certification and a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Please note:

  • Three hinges are recommended for additional rigidity and strength.
  • All hardwood external doors should be protected from direct sun and rain.
  • Trimming must include equal reduction from both sides. Each side of a door may be trimmed up to a maximum of 6mm (lipping of 10mm or more) or 3mm (6mm lipping). Trimming over the 6mm overall for the fire doors invalidates the FD30 rating.
  • Before hanging, seal unfinished product surfaces including tops, bottoms and all recesses cut for hinges, locks, handles and letter plates etc. Waxes and oils must not be used for sealing a door. Guarantees will be void should the door subsequently fail because of this.

yes, this is an unfinished door and will be okay to be primed and painted.

Both sizes will suit this Door.

Hi , I have 2 doors to do in a country pub but they are very short doors at 1820mm in the height so can these be cut down without it affecting the door too much

Answer:

Unfortunately, trimming to this height would go well beyond the advised trimming tolerance, which can cause damage do the structural integrity of the door (whilst voiding the warranty). Unfortuntely, the external doors are not offered in custom sizes. We would advise looking into seeing if the current opening height can be extended to acommodate the doors.
