Frame Size 1981 x 838 - please confirm this is the internal dimensions of aperture ie door size - my door is 1981H x 838W so should fit perfectly with a bit of a trim? Also I need to fit the frame in an existing width of 890 so will have to machine some material off outside uprights - spec says its engineered material ?

Yes that is correct, the DFC33 frame is suitable for 838mm x 1981mm doors. We would advise against trimming these frames, however, as it will void the warranty.

I am concerned that once the hinges are rebated in the screws will have a poor grip on the core material. What finish do you recommend to prevent the hardwood from twisting and de-laminating from the core

The Head/jamb timber section is 68 x 55mm. The door is crafted from engineered MDF materials
